Starting from December, all the Circle
K customers can ask the cashiers of service stations to add the desired
donation (starting from 1 euro) to their receipt. You can also make your
donation in the donation boxes at stations, where we still collect donations
for cancer patients.
“We are glad that our customers
have well received the opportunity to donate at our service stations. We raised
all in all 2673 euros in cash for the foundation in November alone,” said Diana Veigel, the marketing manager of
Circle K in Estonia. “During our cooperation, we have received feedback
from our customers, requesting for an opportunity to add their donation to
their receipt and pay for it by bankcard. Now we have the pleasure of offering
such a convenient opportunity to those who would like to use it.”
“Circle K is the first company in
Estonia that enables its customers to add a donation to their receipt. The
practice is quite widespread in the US, for instance. This allows us to extend
the possibilities for benefactors even more and ensure hope and longer life for
all cancer patients in Estonia,” said Katrin
Kuusemäe, the CEO of the Gift of Life Cancer Treatment Foundation.
The cancer treatment foundation’s
stationary donation boxes have been in all 59 Circle K service stations in
Estonia since last summer. People have donated thousands of euros for cancer
patients via them.
