Volunteers of the
\nGift of Life Cancer Treatment Foundation collected donations at the concerts of
\nState Concert Institute Eesti Kontsert at the Estonia Theatre in Tallinn,
\nVanemuine Theatre in Tartu, and the J\u00f5hvi and P\u00e4rnu Concert Halls around New
\nYear’s Eve. More than 3300 euros was raised for the foundation all in all.<\/b><\/p>\n

Donations were raised at holiday music
\nconcerts “The Singing Snow” and Eesti Kontsert and Hennessy New
\nYear’s concerts “Nordic Pulse”.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We met many kinds people, who
\nspontaneously donated for cancer patients fighting for their lives,” said Katrin Kuusem\u00e4e, the CEO of the Gift of
\nLife Cancer Treatment Foundation. “Some concluded the year 2017 with a
\ngood deed, and some started the new year with one. Everyone who donated became
\na little bit more cheerful. We appreciate all the donors and our long-term
\npartner Eesti Kontsert for having their door open for us.”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In 2018 the cancer treatment foundation
\ncontinues its work in making sure that every cancer patient in Estonia has an
\nopportunity for getting better treatment. At the beginning of the year musician
\nToomas Vanem and poet Aapo Ilves wrote a song “Head uut aastat”
\n(Happy New Year), performed by Anne Veski, Karl Madis, Luisa V\u00e4rk, Kadi Toom,
\nUku Suviste, Henrik Normann and the band Karavan. With this song they rally
\npeople to support Kristi, a 39-year old mother of three in her fight with brain
\ncancer. The cancer treatment foundation has supported her treatment since the
\nbeginning of 2017.The treatment has been effective and must continue.<\/p>\n
