\nDecember, the Gift of Life Cancer Treatment Foundation raised 314,000 euros \u2013
\nan absolute monthly record for the foundation that proves the great kindness of
\nthe Estonian people. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The
\nfoundation council approved the funding of the treatment of 20 people, 12 of
\nwhom are receiving the foundation’s support for the first time. We also
\nsupported many other people whose decision to treat was made in
\nOctober-November. All in all the foundation covered nearly 161,000 euros’ worth
\nof medical bills.<\/p>\n

A gift
\nof life, a gift of hope<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
Sometimes
\npeople think that the Cancer Treatment Foundation can, at best, only slightly
\nextend cancer patients’ lives. But that’s far from true \u2013 at best people are
\ncured with the foundation’s support instead.<\/p>\n

\nDecember. The Cancer Treatment Foundation was flooded with donations and
\ncharity initiatives. Here are some examples: <\/b><\/p>\n
\nbefore Christmas. They sold 1135 of the foundation’s reflectors, held a charity
\ncaf\u00e9 and Christmas fair. All in all the kind school community donated 3200
\neuros to the foundation. <\/p>\n
\nChristmas, consisting of a caf\u00e9 and handicraft fair. They raised 1456 euros to
\nthe foundation. <\/p>\n
\nKindlustus insurance company. The company asked its employees whom they would
\nlike to help at Christmas time and the Cancer Treatment Foundation came up on
\ntop. <\/p>\n
\npatients with 10,000 euros. The company manufactures thermally modified
\ndecking, cladding, floorboards and sauna materials in Harju County.<\/p>\n
\nPolice Department on the subject of the Cancer Treatment Foundation and its
\nemployees donated 424 euros to the foundation.<\/p>\n

\neuros was raised for the Cancer Treatment Foundation.<\/p>\n
\ncar safety equipment manufacturer Norma voluntarily gave up their Christmas
\ngifts and asked the company to donate the gift money to cancer patients
\ninstead. It is the second time they have done so. And so the
\ncompany made a donation of 12,405 euros to cancer patients on behalf of their
\n827 employees.<\/p>\n
\nhanded Toivo T\u00e4navsuu, the head of the Gift of Life, a donation of more than
\n1500 euros from Estonian nurses.<\/p>\n
\ngrade students of Saue Gymnasium spent a whole week baking all kinds of
\ndelicacies at their homes and selling them at recess. Their charity event
\nraised more than 2300 euros for cancer patients.<\/p>\n
\npresents and instead has made a donation to cancer patients, making them a gift
\nof precious and valuable time. A member of the Ekspress Media board, Urmo
\nSoonvald, handed us a cheque for 5000 euros.<\/p>\n
\nvisitors of the Saku Suurhall Arena’s grand “Christmas Gala” donated
\nnearly 2100 euros to the foundation. Each
\nbenefactor received a Disney movie music CD by way of thanks.<\/p>\n
\naeg charity programme helped two cancer patients<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
\nInglite aeg charity programme broadcast on 18 December on TV3 raised funds for
\nfive people in need, two of whom \u2013 a family man named Erik and a grandmother
\nnamed Irene \u2013 are supported by the Gift of Life Cancer Treatment Foundation.
\n128,476 euros are given to the foundation for supporting cancer patients,
\nensuring continued crucial treatment for Erik and Irene. <\/p>\n

\nnewspaper elected Toivo T\u00e4navsuu, the head of the Cancer Treatment Foundation,

\nrun-up to Christmas, volunteers of the Gift of Life Cancer Treatment Foundation
\nmade nearly 4000 waffles with the help of Vahvlihaldjad
\nCaf\u00e9<\/a>. The boxed waffles then made it to the gift
\nbags of companies and institutions, which together donated nearly 20,000 euros
